The long Easter weekend at Ivy House was unexpectedly quiet this year – instead of a full house, sadly we had no guests. On the positive side, the weather was sunny and warm, and the garden was ablaze with spring flowers – including the two stunning pink azalea bushes at the front of the house. The Coronavirus restrictions have had a severe impact on the business, so we thank guests for their understanding – particularly those who’ve postponed their bookings until later in the year. For those who’ve cancelled, we hope you can book again soon! In line with government guidelines, we are staying open to host key workers and those needing emergency accommodation at this difficult time. On the plus side, as we are not closed, this means we can still take bookings for later in the year for all other guests. At the time of writing, we currently expect the restrictions to begin to be lifted around late May/early June. If you have any questions or concerns about an existing booking, or making a new booking, feel free to get in touch – we are still here to take your calls and emails.
