We seek to answer many of the regular questions here. If there’s anything else you need to know or have questions about – please get in touch!

Accessibility – there are a number of steps from the parking area to the front door of the house. All bedrooms are on the first floor, up one flight of stairs. The en-suite shower in Bedroom 1 has a seat and grab rail. If you have any specific requirements, please let us know when booking. For more information please see our access statement.

Breakfast – is normally served between 8 and 9am. Earlier or later breakfasts are available, on request. All prices include breakfast.

Booking & payment – payment in full is needed to secure your booking at Ivy House. You can book direct by entering your dates on the home page and pay using any payment card. You can can also pay by bank transfer – please email for details.

Cancellations – if you cancel more than 14 days in advance of your arrival date, you can get a full refund. For cancellations 14 days or fewer before your arrival date, there is no refund. We recommend that all guests have appropriate insurance in place to cover any losses due to cancellation.

Check in – is between 4 and 7pm. Earlier or later check-in times are normally available; please ask in advance.

Check out – by 10am. Later check out times are sometimes possible (depending on subsequent bookings). You can leave your luggage at Ivy House on the day of check-out, to collect later in the day.

Children – unfortunately, Ivy House is not suitable for babies or young children. Children aged 13 or above are welcome to stay. Bedroom 3 is ideally suited for one or two children.

Cycling – Ivy House is situated on National Cycle Route 2 and is very close to National Cycle Route 3 which connect to routes across Cornwall and beyond. They also connect to the Clay Trails around St Austell, which offer some great off-road cycling opportunities. Safe and secure space is available to store your bicycles at Ivy House.

Dietary requirements – please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements or food allergies when making your booking.

Discounts – we offer discounts for stays of 4 nights or longer, as well or long-stays and regular bookings – please see the Rooms & Rates page for details. Parking – free parking is available in front of Ivy House.  We are also able to offer a charging point for guests with electric vehicles.

Pets – sorry we are not able to accommodate pets at Ivy House.

TV – there is a large television in the living room, which is available for guests to use. There is also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs which can be watched during your stay – or you are welcome to bring your own!

Vouchers – we are happy to offer vouchers to be given as gifts. Please contact us by phone or email to arrange.

Walking – Ivy House is situated a short distance inland from the South-West Coast Path and we can offer advice and suggestions about walking in the local area.

Wifi – there is free Wifi in all parts of Ivy House.
